Transforming Women from the Outside In
In this issue:
Olympic Fashion

I have noticed quite a number
of news articles and mentions of various fashion
statements the winter Olympians have been making these
past two weeks
in Vancouver. Did you know the U.S. Snowboarding
team wore waterproof Gore-Tex pants made to look like worn jeans
with holes in them? Several athletes personalized
their team uniforms with tiaras (U.S. skier Julia
Mancuso) and painted helmets

(Canadian skeleton
participant Jeff Pain). Team mittens and hats are
hot items.
Even in the Olympic Games, fashion and clothing get noticed. Is your clothing getting noticed for the right reasons? Here is a great athletic-inspired, but flattering and stylish outfit. These Champion Yoga Pants look put-together enough for athletic activities or casual errands, when worn with a fitted athletic jacket.
Dresses for Spring
After months of covering up and keeping warm, spring brings more opportunities to wear dresses, as well as occasions to dress up a little more. This Macy's black and white dress is a classic style that flatters almost any woman.
Trends - Everything Old is New Again
In the last month, I have seen fashions from three past decades that are supposedly coming back in style: Desert boots and calico floral prints from the seventies, tapered, pleated pants from the eighties, and leggings from the nineties. Of course, they have some updated features, so something you kept from those days probably won't work (although the desert boots I've seen look exactly like the ones I had in eighth grade!) Remember, you don't have to wear every trend that comes around. I'm certainly not planning on re-living eighth grade by wearing desert boots.
Don't forget the finishing touch on your outfit--jewelry! It can really enhance and stretch your wardrobe. On Friday, March 5, I will be hosting a Cookie Lee Jewelry Show to benefit my local high school's drama program. Go to www.cookielee.biz/jackiedales to look at an online catalog. Just contact me to order at 425-736-5893 or patty@wardrobe.consulting.com..
