Fall Trends
Fall is the most
important and exciting time of year in the fashion
world.
Fashion magazines devote extra time, effort and pages to
their September issues, stores distribute catalogs with
new styles, and cities organize various “fashion weeks.”
I have found a few examples of the biggest trends
for fall 2009.
Beautiful Boots
Boots are more popular
than ever this fall, and the weather is getting cool
enough to start using them to create some fabulous
outfits.
They come in many different heights, including the new
“over-the-knee” boots, like the
Guess Rumala for $198 at
www.Zappos.com.
Also watch for more motorcycle and buckle details
this year, such as
J. Crew’s Vintage Roadster Boots. They come in two
different colors and heights.
Also popular again this
year are shoes with a “bootie” shape, also called ankle
boots, usually with a stiletto heel.
They look great with pencil skirts and tights or
leggings.
Boots this fall come in
almost every toe shape except square. Wear boots with
patterned or colored tights and above-the-knee skirts,
tucked into jeans, or under boot-cut or wide-leg pants.
Bootie shoes look fabulous with pencil skirts and
tights or even leggings.
Lovely Leopard Prints
Animal prints have been around for awhile, but are bigger than ever this year, especially leopard. One of my favorite items is the Michael Kors trench coat. It’s all-weather, water-resistant with a removable lining, and beautiful and flattering.
If you or someone you know would like
help finding these and other fall trends to add to your
wardrobe, contact me at

I would love to help you weed out your current
wardrobe and discover the right clothing shapes and
colors for your body type and style.
Here’s an EXCERPT FROM “100 SIX-WORD
LESSONS TO LOOK YOUR BEST FROM HEAD TO TOE” by Patty
Pacelli
“Lesson Number 24:
Bleached and whiskered jeans enlarge thighs.
“Manufacturers of jeans in juniors departments are
famous for putting fake wrinkles (whiskering) and
bleaching right on the front of the thighs.
For young women with thin legs, it can be a great
effect, but for women with more curvy thighs and hips,
it looks out of place and will make thighs look larger.”
